We are committed to supporting US Department of Labor (USDOL) workforce development mandates, while still supporting employment acquisition by dislocated workers, especially black and brown youth. Our team offers both parties in the workforce development network access to the necessary resources to be successful. For the youth or young adults they are able to obtain hard and soft skills training, career coaching and carefully explore career options that match their skills and interests. For employers, our team is equipped to design customer career pathways maps that affords diverse employees the ability to be upwardly mobile.
We also strive to pair Black Owned Businesses with opportunities to access local talent from Black & Brown communities. We also support the professional development & career readiness of high school and college students through participation on career panels and offering year-round internships. During the pandemic The #2020Census was our most pressing workforce development and advocacy effort. Our team spent a lot of time making sure that black and brown communities were counted. We are committed to ensuring Black and Brown Long Island Counts.
